You can contribute your might and further Marialaya’s cause in two ways:

Financial Contribution:  Your donation will go a long way in improving the infrastructure at Marialaya so that more and more street children can be brought under the loving care of Marialaya’s home. It will also allow us to improve on the quality of care we provide to the children by hiring more teachers and counselors. Donations to M.M.N.M Social Service Society are exempt from Income Tax under section 80G.

Time Commitment: One of the biggest challenges that NGOs in India face today is the participation of communities in its efforts. Most of you have established careers in different areas. We would like to benefit from your experiences in the workplace. Commit your time and become a volunteer to help the street children come up in life. You can help by mentoring and tutoring children. If you are intrested in helping us in reasearch, documentation, educational assistance to children till they could complete their studies, offer skill training, spend time with the children, be a mentor or wish to stay with us to do voluntary service, please contact us via email at marialayammnm@sify.com.

Spread the Word

Marialaya operates under a tight budget. We make a conscious effort to keep our operating costs low so that we can help the needy. We rely on people like you, who believe in us and appreciate our work, to create awareness about Marialaya and to increase the number volunteers. If you are student, talk to your friends and plan on visiting Marialaya. If you work, talk to your colleagues and/or your personnel department.

Spend a Day

We understand although some of you sympathize with our cause and would like to help us out, you are not able to do so because you don’t happen to live in Chennai. But, does your work or family take you to Chennai? If yes, then we have a proposal for you. The next time you plan on visiting Chennai, contact us at marialayammnm@sify.com and we will help you plan activities with children.

You can spend a day (or part of it depending on your time commitments) with the children participating in their day-to-day activities. It will be a “win-win” situation—you will gain satisfaction by helping the needy and the children will be motivated more than ever to change their lives for the better.

Sponsor a Child

Would you like to make a long-lasting impact on a child’s life? If so, we encourage you to sponsor a child at Marialaya. By becoming a sponsor, you can participate in the child’s development and education. You provide mentoring and coaching for the child. Once the child completes her high school, you get a chance to sponsor her college education and later help her get settled in life.
